How to ensure that six month old babies sleep thru the night? Also any tips on what semi solids are best for them at six months.

I was told that some don't sleep till 5 years old! Every child is different. Mushed Bananas, sweet potatoes, avocados (any of the softer fruit / veggies) that are easy to smash up.

sounds like the milk is not sitting well in the tummy. I would start by calling your doctor to see if they have a suggestion...probably just talking to the nurse....

My daughter slept through the night starting about 3 months but wakes often if she's teething or having a growth spurt. My 5 year old on the other hand is a horrible sleeper and still wakes every night if he's in his own bed.

My son is 16mo and has never slept through. Hope your baby is one of the easy sleepers. Good luck. :)

Imo, egg yolks, bananas, whole plain yogurt, avocados, etc. are the best foods to start with. Maybe pureed meats too.

HA! Hate to say, my kids NEVER slept through the night until they were 13-15 months old. All babies are different. Not sure on the baby food other than I used Gerber stage 1 foods for them at 6 months.
