My 6 week old daughter has severe acid reflux. She is on special formula due to her allergies, Nutramigen. She has half expressed breast milk. She is on Zantac and we put cereal in her formula and thicken the breast milk. Under the doctors orders of course. Nothing we do seems to be helping! Anyone else been through this? What did you do? Any advice or suggestions please? I am worried about long term damage!

Oh honey I'm RIGHT there with you My son was the same from 2 weeks till 4 months neither my husband nor I slept because we were always watching our son is on Simulac sensitive thickened with cereal and zantac they gave him previacid at 4 months and a month later he's a completely different baby he's only on simulac for spit up and sleeping flat on his back have your Pediatrician referral you to an ENT and have him scoped they can see what else might be going on in there! But to easy your worry about long term damage BOTH of my girls had severe reflux and are 3 and 5 and doing just fine now. good luck to you

Put one end of her crib up on blocks or let her sleep in a bouncy seat or even her carseat.
As someone who suffers from acid reflux (it was so bad this last week that my voice was rare from the acid burning my throat), it helps to sleep not laying flat when the reflux is very active.
