If you are brestfeeding then it is a process of elimination in your diet. Some things you eat will irritated the baby's tummy and other won't. I would eliminated typical foods that give adults heartburn and gas. Spicey foods, even some fuits and veges can cause a reaction. You can also do warm washclothes on the tummy to help with air bubbles even on the back. Lots of rubbing little baby massages with also help with colic.
It does get easier but it is stressful.

Some babies don't do well with milk either. My friend had to go off all milk products and made a huge difference. I can't drink coffee (one cup max a day). Some vegies like brocolli, celery, onions, ect... can also make baby's tummy hurt. Burp often and keep her upright for at least 20min after feeding. There are also over the counter meds you can give, like gripe water, or Oval.
