they make something now like the Bulbs you put under their nose and the parent sucks the snot out by inhaling, there is a filter so the boogers wont go in your mouth sounds nasty but they work better then those Bulb things. and ya saline drops is about all you can do. sleeping with a cool mist humdifier helps colds as well.

Do you have a humidifier? If not go into the bathroom, turn on the hot shower and let it get all steamy in there and just sit with the baby. I used saline nose drops by I think the brand is "Little one's". Also do you have one of those bulb things they gave you in the hospital? Use that if you do, but it doesn't need to put shoved up the nose just the tip. good luck, I hope you find something that works:)

We also found that when our little man got his first and (touch wood) only cold at 8weeks old that we slept him in his little swing - being nearly upright helped keep his nose clearer - gosh they were a horrid few days, so glad we have not had any more since then (he is now 11mths). Good luck with it.

Although the baby syringes are hated by babies I was forced to use one on mine as she spent a few days in the hospital with severe respiratory issues. Part of the problem was the congestion in her nose and they had to put tubes in to suck it all out...so I found that the syringe by "little noses" that also comes with the saline drops is easiest and more effective to use than the others. It's shaped to better "suck it out" But use the drops too.

when my baby was young he was conjested all the time due to allergies I tryed a nasal asperator but he fought it so it didn't do a good job. I got a Nosefreda which worked great. You put it near their nose and suck. It sounds gross but it has filters so you don't get any germs or muck in your mouth.

I would try one of those bulb syringes (spelling?), you know, they use them in the hospital when the baby is born to get all the junk out of their airways. Also, depending on the age, you can try to use saline drops first, to get everything flowing and then suck it out with the bulb. Hope that helps!
