Cloth does take a bit more work, but not much, actually. For us, it was much easier than dealing with bleeding diaper rashes caused by chemically produced disposable diapers. It may take an adjustment (and I'd recommend keeping some disposables on hand if you have to travel, because, lets face it...they're MUCH more convenient), but you'll find that your budget and your baby are probably going to be happier with cloth.

Ones that your child can wear and are not allergic to. You can't make this determination on price. Some children are allergic to some diapers. Mine were, I couldn't use disposable at all.

Actually, the most money friendly diaper is a cloth one that you wash and re-use.

Nakesha, I wish someone had pointed out the potential allergy hazards to me before I'd even started with disposables! My little guys' bums were SO horribly affected by all of the stuff that the disposables have for absorption that my eldest had to go for a few days in the buff because anything even close to his bum would send him in to a screaming fit of pain. With my youngest, I was prepared, and fortunately was able to find (get this...) a GENERIC disposable that we could use on trips and for emergencies, but all of the name brands were out.

Good luck with your search!
