Hi everyone. I found out I was pregnant May 21st. I started bleeding on the 22nd and was worried about it, so I called the doctor (and also posted on here.) The doctor told me not to worry unless I was bleeding greatly. I wasn't, so I didn't end up getting an appointment until May 24. The doctor ordered a blood test, then I had an appt. She said that my levels were only about 570, so she said I was either very early in my pregnancy or miscarrying. She said I was 5 weeks (going by my LMP) and that my numbers were too low for 5 weeks. *Side note: I ended up bleeding from Sunday to Friday.* So I went back for a blood test 3 days later. I got those results on Tuesday and I believe my levels were around 530. So they went down and I was told that it was more then likely a miscarriage. I back back that Monday and the next time the results came in, they were 470. I went back again this past Monday and just got the results saying that I'm at 460. The nurse said that because the levels didn't go down further that I need to go back this Friday, because they need to check the levels again (obviously) however the results won't be in until Monday, so now I'm super nervous, again.

She said it could be an ectopic pregnancy or that my levels aren't dropping as fast as they normally should. I could also be pregnant (again) which I hope I'm not. My husband and I did have sex I'd say at the end of May and around the beginning of June, so yes it is possible. We did use condoms. It is just very worrisome. I don't know what to think. I wasn't happy finding out I was pregnant, however I did not want to miscarry. Then I found out I was and I was sad, but sort of relieved as well. I'm also scared of something being wrong with me, because of how my levels are. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The first time I went in, the doctor said she didn't want me to have an ultrasound, because if I was only five weeks, there wouldn't be much to see. However, she said that if my levels stayed the same or went up, then she would order an ultrasound. And then when my levels started going down, they just said it was a miscarriage and I needed to keep going for blood tests. (I also think they didn't do an ultrasound was because I was only having period like bleeding, with no pain.) I guess if my levels stay the same after this one or go up, they will want to do an ultrasound. I just wish I could find out before Monday!

If you was 5 weeks gone like the doctor said you can have a early scan to see if you was pregnant or not. I cannot understand why your doctor didn't advise this? I was 5 weeks pregnant whe I satrted having very bad abdominal pain. I went to the doctors and they sent me straight to the hospital where they scanned me internally. I found out at this time I was having twins! Sadly I miscarried 1 of the twins at 3 months but gained a beautiful daughter who will be 6 coming october. So don't mess about get down to the hospital.
