my daughter didn't crawl until about 11 months, she started walking really shortly after.

Generally they say the later they crawl the earlier they'll walk. Usually she just rolled around

my son did everything really early he started crawling between 3 to 4 months and started walking around furniture by 5 months hes now 10 1/2 months and refuses to walk on his own I thought he would by now since he did everything so early but I wouldnt worry all babies are different and when they are ready they will do it Im sure my son could walk by now but he just doesnt want to

Don't worry, none of my children crawled until after they walked. They began cruising furniture around 6 months. They walked at 10.5, 10, and 11 months.

I believe babies are crawling later because they don't spend as much time on their tummy as they did when I was raising my children 90's. Both my boys crawled around 6 months but my grand daughter has no interest in crawling. Not enough tummy time.

My son is about to be 7 months old and has no interest in crawling, he rather stand in our lap or on the floor holding our hands, and now he even talking steps holding my hand or course, does some babies skip the crawling stage?

According to babycentre.ca the average age is 8 months. My 5 month old son still hates tummy time (which is kind of funny because at the begining he HATED being on his back!! *shakes head* LOL) so I don't see him crawling by 6 months, but he stands in my lap or if I just hold on to his hands and almost launches himself when seated on my lap so I have a feeling he will walk before he ever crawls!! According to babycentre as long as baby is making the attempts to move (shimmy, roll side to side or over) he/she is trying to become mobile!!

Trust me as the mother of a 11 year old and 9 year old, I can tell you that once your child is mobile, you will rue the day you were wishing they could get into everything. LOL. I too waited and hoped for them to crawl, walk, etc. only to be mortified at what they were able to do once they got to that point. Good luck, baby proof everything at counter height and below. Take care!

There is not an average age for crawling. They crawl when they are ready to crawl. Every child is different and every child develops at his/her own pace. With that being said if she/he is not crawling by a year old I might be concerned, but until then give it time. Each baby is different.

My daughter crawled at 5 mo and my sons crawled at 8 mo and 9 mo... every baby is different! Don't worry and try not to compare your child to anyone else's. You baby will crawl when he's ready.
