There is no point! Mainly milk and then water, that's basically it! I realize, I'm one of the stricter parents, when it comes to beverages (Nothing besides milk and water for a VERY long time) but at 7 months I think everyone can agree that juice and other soft drinks belongs nowhere.

Never heard that you're supposed to. Breastmilk/formula is really all they need and maybe some water in a sippy cup if they're eating solids.

No purpose whatsoever. They used to try and say it was a great source of vitamin c, but all it really is is a cordial. Kids don't need it, they can get their vitamin c from eating fruit. I never had it as a child and I never gave it to my kids either. I certainly would not recommend it for infants.

Had to look up what that was.... ;)

I wouldn't be giving it to a 7 month old. Breast milk or formula is all they need to drink under a year... with a small amount of water (starting after 6 months) on occasion.
