What is your child's teething symptoms?

[deleted account] ( 4 moms have responded )

My 13 month old have had a fever of 100.7 for about a day to 2 days and now it is gone and he don't want to eat much...very little and not a whole lot of fluid either. He sometimes cries out at night. He has a slight runny nose. Something like a cold too. He acts happy now. But, want to know others of their teething symptoms at this age. He already has 4 teeth up top and 4 down below. Does anyone else have cold like symptoms with their child's teething? Does your child not want to eat much or drink much?

Oh yeah, definitely a rash. My daughter would get them randomly all over her body, not just the diaper area.

With the hole 4 of mine, cranky wont eat high temp and always seem to come down with colds and nappy rashes and 4 /6 teeth would pop through lol. But all children are different

Fever, snotty (but clear) cranky, won't eat or drink well, sometimes excessive drooling, sometimes diarrhea (because of all the saliva?), doesn't sleep well either. The bigger the teeth, the worse it is. Definitely cold like symptoms. Also, some peds say "nope, not from teething" and others will absolutely agree that teething can cause these issues. I certainly believe it is true. Both children had the same symptoms, and then "pop" a tooth would show.
