Here is my son's feeding schedule:

7am 6oz bottle, 2 tbsp cereal, 1/2 jar of fruit

10:30-11am 6oz bottle

2-2:30pm 6oz bottle

5-5:30 6oz bottle, 2 tbsp cereal, 1/2 jar of veggies

7pm few ounces of juice

9-9:30 4oz bottle

Sometimes I have to wake him up for his last bottle. I want advice on whether I should just skip it and put him to bed. Doctor says I could.

They say to start reducing to 3 bottles in 24hrs when they are 7 months so thats when i would give a meal followed by fruit or pudding and some juice instead of milk prob for tea as they normally have a bottle before bed.

My daughter is almost 6 months old and I try to keep a regular schedule (breakfast lunch snack dinner). She starts of with a 8OZ bottle around 7:30-8 (depends at what time she wakes up), then 6OZ bottle around 12-1pm with 2OZ of fruit/vegetable puree. Then same for snack around 4-5pm 6OZ+2OZ of puree and finally around 8-8:30 I give her 8OZ of formula and then put her to bed. I am also wondering when she should have "real meals" with a little bit of vegetable puree followed by a little bit of fruit puree and maybe reduce the formula...

I started with half a jar of porrige for the first 2 wks then introduced another half jar of veggies for another 2 wks at lunch time with her bottle then introduced a yougart at tea time with her bottle so do it gradually and if your baby still seems hungry just increase the amount, at 6 months food is more important than the milk so as long as they are having some milk thats fine but i always give the food first then give them the bottle after as the food will be more satisfying than the milk at 6 months.

My daughter is 5 months old and i still dont know exactly how i should start a feeding (solids) schedule....she will take between 4-6OZ bottle every 4 / 4 & 1/2 hours.
She wakes up at 6 and after her first nap around 9 / 9:30ish i give her rice cereal with some apples or bananas mixed in then a bottle.......but i dont know if i should just cut out the rice cereal and start giving her 1/2 jars of either fruits or veggies with bottles like most of you guys do.....do i give her rice n fruits n veggies at breakfast, lunch and dinner or do i just stick with breakfast as i have been and wait til shes 6 months to give it to her 3 times a day? LOL if you cant tell by now im a new mother and i dont know what im doing! BUT my daughter is quite plump so she is far from being malnourished.

my daughter is 25 weeks, i started weaning at 22 wks, she now has 7oz bottle and half a jar porridge at 7.30-8am, at 11.30-12pm she has a small yogart and 7oz bottle, at 3.30-4pm half jar of veg and 7oz bottle and 7oz bottle at 7pm then bed and sleeps through for 12 hrs, at 7 months i will drop the 4pm bottle and give juice with a full jar of veg and give her milk at 6.30pm.

You can try skipping it, but most 6 month olds would just wake at 2 or 3am to feed. What you are doing by waking him to feed him is called a dreamfeed, most babies need this in order to sleep until morning or they will wake hungry during the night.

My daughter Deja is about to b 6 months. NO matter her feeding schedule it chanes daily never can pin point a time. So i more so let her tell me wen she is ready.
In the am for breakfast we have banana falvored oatmeal with a jar of fruit than of for a few hour nap she goes when she wakes up i feed her about 5-6 ounces than come 2-3 ahe wants another bottle by 7 ish I try to feed her a dinner 1 jar of veggies and 1 jar of fruit very ocassionally will throw som meats in there. After eating solids I give her 2 ounces if she takes. Than come 10ish she wants a bed time bottle and is about ready for bed the bottle consist of 6oz as well. I dont force her to eat or not feed her cause she doesnt tell me. I listen to her and my mommy instinct. I would recomend NOT TO wake him up. HE NEEDS and WANTS his sleep so I woould let your son sleep as much as possible. If he gets hungry he will let you know. Since my daughter was 1 month old she would sleep 6 hours some times moreso when she would wake up shes be screaming for a bottle so I than started to wake up 15 min earlier than her to have a bottle ripe and ready. Now my daughter is 6 months sleeps a solid 8 hrs plus a night and doesnt wake up so demanding since I startedher on solids. Wish you the best

my 6 month old eats about the same except she drinks like 7 oz and she i give her more food at lunch and dinner then she will drink a bottle about an hour after that and her last bottle is at the same time every night usually about 9 she drinks 7 oz. and i find if i skip the last one she wakes up earlier in the night so i dont skip it unless shes extreamly tired which never happens lol but its a nice thought i guess

My daughter is almost 7months now but has been on the same schedule for a while. She has a 6 oz bottle at 7- 7:30, 4 tblsp cereal and 2 cubes of fruit (i make my own baby food). 6 oz bottle at 11:30-12:00, 4 tblsp cereal and 2 cubes of fruit or veggies. 6 oz bottle at 3:00. 6 oz bottle at 5:30, 4 tblsp cereal and 2 cubes of veggies. 4-6 oz bottle at 7:30 before bed. I try to go by a normal breakfast, lunch and dinner schedule with the extra bottle at 3:00. If your son is falling asleep and you have to wake him up to give him a bottle just give it to him earlier and put him to bed after he drinks it. He should have a bottle before bed to help him sleep through the night. Good luck!
