What made you take a pregnancy test?

I'm just curious what made other moms take a pregnancy test. I've read on other posts that some moms found out they were pregnant as soon as 2 weeks... I took a test because a friend thought she was pregnant and didn't want to pee on a stick alone... my surprise when mine was positive and her's negative lol... I didn't even get symptoms until almost 3 months along.

With my first it was the fact that my boobs were hurting like they did when I first went on birth control. We had been trying for a long time (I have PCOS which causes infertility) and stuttered quite a bit when it came up positive. I took the test that day because I was going for a flu shot as well and it asks if you can be pregnant. With my second I was in the process of weaning the first so sore boobs came with that too. It was the odd episodes of nausea for no reason that made my husband say that I needed to grab a test and see. Sure enough, two lines.

My period didn't come! LOL that and my husband going "you're pregnant... don't drink that you're pregnant!"

Lucky you! I missed my period and had some nausea and other things that made me think I might be. I found out at 4 weeks and 5 weeks that I was pregnant with my kids. This time I knew something was up when chocolate didn't taste good to me!!! Red flag!!

With my 1st baby I did the what the hell test & it was positive, but we were trying I didn't have symptoms yet. I then ran to the store & took 10 more tests because I didn't believe the 1st one!

My 2nd baby I cracked my 1st child's diaper, not even a bad one and I almost tossed my cookies on her. Peed on the stick, positive.

With my 3rd child I was trying to drink coffee & everything tasted horrible, ugh burnt nasty coffee, every brand I tried. Positive test.

Strange enough my dogs know before I do, they start to snort at me & act funny & spastic. That has happened with every pregnancy & doesn't go away until I had the baby.

I ordered pizza (that was at 3 weeks) I HATE pizza, so something must of been out of wack with my body.

My husband stopped using protection both times but I was never good about keeping track of when my period came. So with my first one I needed to have an xray on my knee and they asked if there was any chance I could be pregnant and I had to say yes, so later that night I decided that I should probably take a test if I was going to be telling people I could be pregnant, sure enough I was. Them with my second my coffee started making me nauseas during the day and I started doing the math and was really late so I took a test and again it was positive.

I was trying to conceive both times and I was eager to know. Cannot tell you how many negatives I got before that blissful double line popped up. Confused the hell out of my daughter, too.

"Mommy, what's wrong?"
"Mommy's going to have a baby!" *sobbing happily*
"Mommy...you said you wanted to have a baby..."
And then the explanation of why some people cry when they're really really happy. ;)

I threw up. Once. In the morning. Something I'd never done before. I took a test on an 'oh shit' gut instinct. After it gave a positive result, I tracked down when my last period was, and it was about 2 months prior. I didn't even notice that I was late, because it's happened on more than one occasion for no reason.

My four year old daughter! :) I was showering with her for sake of time and she told me I had a baby in my belly. I went along telling her how it's not nice to tell any woman that she's pregnant because she may think she looks fat and it could hurt her feeling. My 4 year old literally rolled her eyes and said "whatever, you have a baby in your belly. It's a girl." If it's a girl or not...I won't know until friday. But, she made me think later that night on if I was late or not and sure enough I was, so I got a test!
