I am writing this as a lot of people are being mean to me as I have asked the one grandson in which I am raising since his birth to call me his mom. While my twin sister has adopted his younger brother. A LITTLE ONE LAYS DOWN HIS HEAD TONIGHT

Each night before I lay down in my bed,
I hope that God will hold my hand and make everything just right,
As my Foster Parents turn out the lights,
I say my prayers
And I begin to wonder where you might be tonight,

I know there must be a family out there,
Somebody who will hear all my prayers?
Lord, I ask you where my home is
Because I want so much to I belong

Who will take me home and make me all of their very own,
Lord, I need a mother somebody who will care,
Have patience, understanding, and provide me a home,
Oh, God there must be a family out there somewhere?
Who would want to pick me up and hug me tonight?
And make me feel that everything will be just right,

Lord, I want you to know
That my prayers are for everyone,
Especially for all those children who still wonder where they might belong,
We all really need to know where we truly belong
I’ll finish my prayers now and close my eyes for the night,
Hoping that God would make everything just right,

This prayer is sent out to all of you,
That when I wake by morning light
That if I’m still lying here in this bed tonight,
You might think about me and hear my prayers,
Because if I’m still laying here tonight,
I’ll begin to wonder what went so wrong,
As I know there is a place out there for everyone,
Where I can call that special person Mom,
That is the place in which I dream of
Where I know I truly do belong,

Lord, just one more thing before I go to sleep tonight,
I need to know just one more thing
When I meet my mom will she love me?
Guide, support, and play with me,
Oh, Lord I dream of that place

Finally,
My Mommy is here, Lord
I see her face,
She has come to remove me from this place,
And take me to her home,
Where I truly do belong,
That is where she will say this is the place
In which you do truly belong

And though all the following months and years,
When I grow, tumble, learn and fall
Will she teach me things like catching a ball?
All the while I will continue to pray
As she turns out the light
I will say thank-you Lord,
For bringing me to somebody
In which I can call my Mom!

God Bless,
Thanks to all those Mothers out there who answered those prayers,
Written for my both Grandsons

Alternative ending:
For bringing me to a place I would like to stay
and for giving me a person in which I can call my Mother.
