What r the pros and cons of having babies close together?

My boy is 4 months old - I had to have him by c/s because he turned his head sideways just before delivery. My husband and I would love to get pregnant again when he is 6mths old, so my babies r 15mths apat. My next one will need 2b by c/s also. Wondering if any moms with babies close together can help me out - pros and cons. Not so sure i want to go thru infant stage again if i get used to the toddler stage. (also my boy is on formula - not sure if this makes a difference)

Cons - the expense of having 2 lots of nappies to buy, double wipes, double formula if you bottle feed, even less sleep than you get now, no time to yourself, chasing a toddler while trying to care for a new born, you are looking after 2 babies at the same time.

Pros - they will be good friends, once the little one is old enough they will play together and give you abit of a break, they are both out of nappies/bottles etc within a short space of time, the older one is still too little to be jealous of and understand about the arrival of the little one, you get the baby stages over quickly.

Mine are now 3 and 4 and I've done the hard part, I know people who have kids a similar age to my little one who are just having number 2 now and they are struggling with a 2 1/2 - 3yr age gap, I'm glad I had them close together, the last 6 months I have started to get my life back, people are more willing to baby sit for us now than they were a year ago.

Having them close together is wonderful because it seems like they remain very close as they grow up but it is hard too on you as a parent.

Two in diapers.

Maybe both on bottles or nursing.

Sleepless nights.

Several of my children are very close in age and I swear even though the youngest is 7 I haven't slept a full night in 21 years.

Truthfully I wouldn't change it for anything. The pros defidently outweigh the Cons.

pros- bottles and diapers done within same year-ish; once they are old enough they will play together and have same aged friends, they can wear just about the same size clothes and can trade (if they are both boys). they finish stages close to the same time.

cons- they go through stages around the same time, so you are constantly pulling your hair out. they go through diapers at the same times, financially that is CRAZY.
