what's the best milk for six months old baby

My son wasn't eating solids on a daily basis until close to a year... and had some breast milk only days up to and maybe even past 1.5 years old.... He's a happy, healthy, thriving, almost 8 year old.
There is nothing wrong w/ adding a bit of solids to your child's diet now, but breast milk (or formula if you really choose to wean) has all the nutrients and calories your child needs under a year. Solids are not supposed to be a replacement to the milk at this age... just a little something for the taste and learning experience of eating.
I guarantee if you breastfeed on demand and there is nothing wrong w/ your supply... you are not starving your child.

If you are still physically able to breastfeed her... that is really the best option up to and even past 2 years of age. If you want to wean her at 12 months you can do so onto whole cow's milk. I can understand switching to formula if you are unable to breastfeed her for some reason now, but otherwise there is no logical reason to switch her off of breast milk at only 6 months old.
Again... only breast milk or an infant approved formula (which I could not advise on brands as I only breastfed my kids for a minimum of 15 months... and the longest I nursed was 3.25 years) is acceptable under 12 months of age... and breast milk is free. :)
