pigs in a blanket. Its the only thing I could cook when I was really little. Our entire family was responsible for planning a weekly meal, so every Tuesday for a year we had pigs in blanket!

My Grandmother taught me how to make Sunday Gravy (spaghetti sauce) practically before I could walk! We never use jarred spaghetti sauce and once when my son, Michael ate at my Mom's she made spaghetti with jarred sauce, one of the types that is chunky. When he came home he said that 'Grammy's sauce tasted weird and had things in it".

The first thing I remember mom teaching me to make is lasagna. Side would have been a salad.

Pasketti! Oh I think that Mom made boiling water look like a talent and so i was more than happy to learn and stick the pasta in the water. I felt so grown up. I've passed that skill on to my oldest. The look in her eyes..priceless :)

The first meal I learned to cook was Blueberry Muffins. My mom taught me how to make them for my Dad. Now i make them with my children for their Dad! They love to help me t=int eh kitchen

[deleted account]

I started with baking cookies and prepping food for Dad on the grill. When I finally was allowed to cook all on my own, it seemed so easy since I had done so much of the pre-work for a long time. I can't even remember my very first meal. Guess I have to ask my mom.

I tried to make cornish game hens stuffed with a golden raisin stuffing. I thought the recipe looked good and couldn't be that hard. Ha, ha, ha!

Pizza, I think. It was AWFUL! A plan was implimented to have me cook dinner for our family of 7 once / week, but no one taught me how to cook first. After one week, all the other children mysteriously had dinner at friends on my dinner night. I believe the plan lasted 3 weeks.
