Yea like Dove said, some babies aren't ready for solid food at that age, and it's not really important either. My daughter was 8 months old before I started feeding her any solid food.

Ditto. Mostly breast milk or formula. Some babies are ready for baby food or finger foods once, maybe even twice a day. Some babies aren't ready for anything other than breast milk or formula.

They are not supposed to get a significant amount of calories or nutrients from solids at this age, so whatever healthy, easy to manage food you happen to have is fine.... just don't do more than one new food every 4ish days in case baby has an allergic reaction to it.

Mostly breast milk or formula, and reasonable amounts of baby food, mostly vegetables and fruits. Many at that age will only take a few bites at a time, there's no need for them to be eating 3 jars of baby food every day. You increase solid and decrease milk gradually as they get older. Food before one is just for fun. All solid food should be offered after the breast milk or formula feeding.
