My son is 3 year old nearly 4, and just yesterday I was pulled to one side by his nursery teacher, she was a little concerned the my son and another little boy was comparing there bits. So after getting rather embarrassed and talking to my husband, we decide firstly it didnt really sound like something our son would do, but kids will be kids, so we decided to talk to our son, explain to him that you dont show them bits of your body, but if there was ever a problem that he could show myself my husband or his Nanna, but.... here's the problem when we tried to broach the subject my son seemed to be shock and angry at the thought of showing his bits. Which makes me and my husband think that he really hadn't done that, so what should I do?

You have done no harm to him telling him to keep covered up. If you feel strongly about it then speak to the nursery and ask them again was it really your kid. It is very common actually and nothing to be embarassed about.

I agree with Colleen, talk to him anyways. Tell him you know he didn't do it (or whatever you want to say) and explain what's appropriate and what's not.

I would say even if your little boy hadn't shown his bits, it's always best to educate your children on how they should and shouldn't behave. I think its best to be polite and gentle with them in such embarrassing situations but gently let him know that it's not best to do that kind of thing. ( just so he's educated) :)
