Don't use any cough meds for children unless the Dr writes a script for it! There is a reason the package says for 4 years of age and older! Anyone who says differently should be shot! It is so easy to accidentally overdose your baby

I too put a little chest rub on the bottoms of their feet. My children are 8 and 5, I still do this for them. A dear friend taught me this chinese medicine technique and I even use it on myself! Instead of Vicks I use herbal chest rubs. Use what ever you can! Rub the chest rub on the balls of the feet and then cover with socks/booties. Along with a cold mist humidifier and a the chances for a baby feeling better are great! Remember, the stuffies could be teething...

Humidifier and sleeping upright in the swing. Sit in the bathroom with the shower all the way up and let it get steamy. Sit as long as you can in there and then afterwards use the sucker on her nose. Do it right before bed and it REALLY helps!!

My 3 month old had a really bad cold last week and it's starting to dwindle now. I gave her tylenol when she moaned because my dr told me she probably has a little headache along with some body aches and she seemed to perk up quite a bit. I also bought a vicks plug in for her room, put a humidfier next to her crib and before bed I put baby vicks on her feet and legs which seemed to help her breathe. She had 3 bad nights that she couldn't sleep in her crib because it was too flat and made it hard for her to breathe so I let her sleep in her bouncy chair.
Hope your little baby feels better soon!

Baby motrin because tylenol has been taking off the shelf for a bacteria over growth in the liquid. SO i don't trust it. The humidifier, a soothing bath, and some TLC... The motrin can be used for the for the cold and the cough any baby cough meds would do.

It's hard at that age for treating. Try a health store - some chest rubs in the supermarkets are only recommended for 6 months plus but some health stores have completely natural ones that are safe enough to use earlier. Also, to help you both get a better sleep while bub is sniffly and congested, try elevating bubs head slightly while sleeping either by propping the mattress up slightly with a pillow...just not so much that bub can slip under covers or anything.
