I was a single mom, and then a poor married mom. My best bet for holidays was always, crayons, playdoh, paper, scissors, glue, glitter, and spending time with them making decorations and keepsakes to put back and pull out in later years. They loved it. Also, marshalls, tjmaxx, etc. also have some really nice stuff. Or even cracker barrel. Things like jaxx or etch a sketch. I always went for lots of affordable presents as we do Hannukah and Yule. Can be really daunting for mom, but some planning and some help from the Universe, you can do it. Just remember it's about showing love. Make cookies or latkes, that's always fun. I guess your girl is a little young for that yet though. LOL Maybe a cool hat or galoshes from a gently used store?
