MY 9 year old was bullied by yard duties on Thursday. No one from the school is giving me a call back or even acknowledging my concerns... what else can I do?

You go up the chain of command. If you HAVE contacted the principal, and have documentation of that attempt, you go to the superintendent of schools. The board will laugh at you if you don't follow the correct procedures.

Ultimately, though, teaching your child how to behave and respect rules will change any future interactions.

Is there a school board? I don't know where you live, so I couldn't say what the hierarchy is. If it were here where I live in Australia, the next step would be a complaint to the department of education.

I already spoke to some other parents and they told me the same thing that my daughter told me. I already spoke to the principal as well and it was just a bunch of excuses for why the yard duties said what they said.

I agree. I was OK with her recess getting taken away but not all that extra stuff. so not called for. When I put her in this school, I signed paperwork stating that if acts or threats of violence is supposed to be suspended or expelled. but all the while these yard duties are still getting paid and no repercussions

OK, well, that's not okay. First, talk to your daughter about not ignoring the yard duties in the first place - she was clearly misbehaving and being disrespectful. Then make a formal complaint to the principal in writing (keep a copy) - this will put the complaint on record. If the principal doesn't get back to you about it, then you can take it to the next level.

Did they actually hit the children in the head?
Maybe ask the parents of the other children and see if they have been told the same thing.
If you don't get any calls back, make an appointment with the Principle to have a meeting and if they refuse then take it further.

Maybe your daughter needs to do as asked in the first place......not that I'm condoning what the yard duties said, but maybe have a chat to her about that.

My daughter was threatened and bullied by thesection yard duties. I don't think that they should of handled the situation like that considering that they are are grown women and supposed to be watching the children and protecting them not frightening them.

My daughter and other children in the lunchroom were being loud. They were asked to calm down. The children ignored the yard duties. The yard duties told the children that they just lost their recess. They lined the children and my daughter along side the ball wall. The children were still being loud and asked if they were going to play wall ball? One of the yard duties said " don't move, talk, scream, or try to hide. Cause if you do then I'll hit you in the head not only 3 time but 5 times with the ball on the forehead". The second yard duty repeated the same thing but she had a football. .. my daughter came home very scared

I'm a little confused. Who bullied her? Or was she bullied by being put on yard duty? Or bullied by the people on yard duty? If so, how?
