My husband and I have full custody of two wonderful children. My son (step) is 7, my daughter (step) is 6. I have been mom for over five years. QUESTION: Bio mom is not allowed overnights. She is ordered every Wednesday evening and every other Sat and Sun during the day. She just recently started asking for her visits after being out if the kid's lifes for a year. Problem is that she works every Sat and wants makeup time. What do we do? By the time she gets off work it's night time.

No, actually, if the current arrangements are court ordered, she would be considered in contempt for asking that he change them without revisiting it with the judge!

Tell hubby to stand his ground, call his attorney and get a court date scheduled to revisit the issue. Good luck :-)

Your husband and his ex need to revisit custody/visitation arrangements in a court session. That is the only way to go.

She can't change her visitations without court orders. He can't change them without court orders. But, they both can go back before a judge and ask that they be amended.

Shawnn,

Thank you for your reply, I agree completely. Bio mom has been threatening us that my husband will be in contempt for not working around her work schedule. However, what she is requesting is not an easy fix.
