You need to do what makes yourself, your husband and you daughter happy and not worry about the two families, if it is important to you to celebrate getting your daughters ears pieced then do it your own way and if it doesn't suit members of either family its just tough. They might not like or understand if it dosen't corasponed with there religion but they should respect you and the fact you have to change things to suit your own little family. I'm not sure if that's helpful in anyway.

I didn't pierce my daughters ears until she was three and she asked to have it done.
