i am 22 yrs old, i am pregnant with my second child and i am expercning low blood sugar. when i was pregnant with my first child i had high blood sugar so when i started feeling bad i thought maybe it was high again. so i went an got new test strips and it is low very low. two hours aftter i eat dinner last night (i had 2 hot dogs an have a hersey bar) it was 87 which is in the fasting range. I drank i half a glass of juice an one hour after that checked again an it was at 117. which is a normal level 2 hours after a meal. what do i need to do to controll my sugar? will this effect my baby in anyway?

I have contacted my dr and am waiting for them to get back with me.

Eat about 5 small meals throughout the day so your blood sugar stays level. Hot dogs and candy bars aren't going to cut it. The candy bar is going to cause your blood sugar to spike up and then crash. Eat protein, healthy carbs, fruits and veggies. Avoid alot of junk food, sugary stuff and soft drinks.
