What to do with extra pull-ups/diapers?

Hello. My 6 year old daughter has just recently stopped wetting the bed, and now I'm unsure on what I should do with all the extra pull-ups. I don't want to donate them since there's nearly 5 boxes full (250+ pull-ups). I feel like it would be a massive waste of money, especially since I'm trying to save money where I can. My youngest who's 3 years old is still in diapers, but my 5 year old currently wears pull-ups at night since he wets the bed. Can I use them for him even though they're girl pull-ups or would they leak if I did? I have a friend who's offering to give me pull-on diapers in exchange for the actual pull-ups since they don't fit her daughter anymore. They're my 5 year old's size, but I'm hesitant to take her offer since they're diapers and not actual pull-ups and since she only has two boxes of them (around 150 diapers) so I would be getting less for more. On the plus side they're gender neutral so that might avoid some complaints from ds. Would it be okay to use the pull-ups or should I trade them for the diapers?

I think use the diapers. I don't think there is a problem with him having girl pullups but the diapers would definitely work. You may want to keep some nappies back for emergencies or long trips or if you use them as punishment for bad behaviour

Hey Ev, thanks for the advice! I've tried then and you're right, it's just thicker at the bottom instead of the front and absorbs more in those areas. Unfortunately to answer your question or who's going to see, DS lol. Threw a massive fit for the last 3 days of wearing them, so I'm just going to trade them out for the diapers my friend offered me. I just hope he doesn't refuse to wear them because they're "diapers" and they're for "baby's", wouldn't be the first time he's thrown a fit over having to wear diapers. But luckily since they have Mickey Mouse and only Mickey Mouse on the front of the diaper I think I can get away with having him wear the "new pull-ups" instead ;)

Thanks for the advice! Finally got the opportunity to try them the last few days, they've worked perfectly but DS won't stop throwing a fit every time I put them on him and will continue to do so up until he goes to sleep. Decided I'm just going to trade them out for the diapers and just call them "pull-ups" lol. A little white lie never hurt anyone, plus he loves Mickey Mouse, so shouldn't receive too much backlash over the "new pictures".

You can donate them to the homeless shelter nearest you. It can help an family.

Rachel--you never ever use diapers for punishment. Diapers are used for children until they are potty trained to use the toilet. I do not know where you get the idea they are a form of punishment.

As for using girl or boy pullups on the opposite child, they should work. The only real difference is that they have girl or boy things on them and that they pull the moisture to different areas. It would not matter because who is going to see your child in them but you or dad?

And in all actuality, they are diapers...not underwear.

Either donate them or give them to a friend or if you have slot in a new package you can sell them on line on one of the many apps available. I've seen women do that. Good luck!!

Yeah, I planned to have him try them but I'm waiting for him to finish this last box of boy pull-ups, he's only got a few more left. Unfortunately I opened all the boxes so I don't think anyone's going to buy them. If they don't work I'll probably just trade them for the diapers and just have him use those, I know those work.

Why not try a few of the girl pull-ups on your son and see if they work? Then you will know, if they leak you won't want them. Then you can sell the unopened boxes on ebay or Craig's list.
