What to give a toddler with a tummy ache ?

I have found Lemonade Ice-blocks helps lots. They line the stomach and the flat lemonade helps calm things down. It also helps as they stop the child becoming dehydrated and doesn't over-tax the tummy either. Baby Pamol, I have found, tends to upset the tummy even more.

My health nurse recommend rubbing the tummy to help digestion(not if hes nauseous, that will make him puke) you start on the bottom right side and go up with medium pressure till you are just under the ribs(say I ) then turn left till you are under the other side of the ribs(say love) next start down till you are just above the hip bone( say you) it should only take about 4 seconds, so do it a few times (if your toddler cries out he/she might need to see a doctor) this works on baby's too. hope it helps =)

For stomach aches and nausea, real ginger will help (vs. store-bought ginger-ale, which does not contain real ginger!). You can make your own ginger ale with real ginger, lemon rind, honey, boiling water and seltzer to taste. Slices of ginger may also be steeped in hot water to make “ginger tea”.
