Twice a month? I'd call just to get everything checked out.

There's no such thing as 'normal' when it comes to periods during breastfeeding. Some women do not get a period until their child is fully weaned. Some get their period back in less than 2 months after birth... and get it regularly every month. Most other women fall somewhere in between.

My cycle range (no longer breastfeeding.. for the past 15 months) is every 21-30 days. That is, apparently 'normal' for me right now.

I would call. Really there isn't a normal when it comes to periods while breastfeeding. With my daughter, I started at 2 1/2 months postpartum, and got them every 40-57 days until she was 10 months old. It then finally went back to my normal 32. With my son I started around 5 months postpartum, and it has been about 32 days give or take.

It is always better to error on the side of caution. Especially when it could mean that something is wrong.
