Ok, that makes sense.

A suggestion from me would be to check with your local hospice (or equivalent). When my husband was first mobility impaired, we contacted hospice until we could purchase a chair on our own.

Best of luck! And, yes, sometimes the strange things that happen when you post are frustrating...Thanks for coming back in to update/clarify!

Sorry, it cut off before I could type more and I don't understand how to use the site. I thought I was doing a search for wheelchairs.

I am trying to help a child get a wheelchair. She is not a US citizen so she has no access to Medicaid but she cannot walk.

I was hoping another mom of a child who has outgrown a wheelchair could donate one or sell it to me for a low cost.

Is a chair with wheels on it, generally and most commonly used by those with limited mobility, or the elderly. Did you have a specific question?
