Oh, Gerrika, I've known that family...you know, the ones with multiple multiples?

One of my kid's soccer coaches had 4 sets of twins! 2 during his first marriage, and 2 during his second. And, the second wife was well aware of how easily it happened...She frequently laughed about how "blind" she was...LOL...Not that she'd trade any of her kids, and they're all awesome kiddos, but...If I'd had twins with my first, I'd have been done too! LOL

Gerrika, if you're comfy with 2, then awesome!

We decided (before we ever had kids) to have my tubes tied after 2. Then, if we raised those 2, and wanted another, we'd have the adoption option still open. When they're little, we found that 1 parent per kid worked great as a rule. We each kept track of one as we did fairs, amusement parks, etc, and if both had activities running on the same night, both still got a parent in attendance.

My husband and I actually wanted to have more children but I had very difficult pregnancies and deliveries with both of our daughters and the doctor told me it could be dangerous to have more. We weighed the options and I chose to have a tubal ligation so we wouldn't have any more children. Our thoughts were that we would rather have the two healthy girls we have than risk that either the baby or myself or both might not make it through a third pregnancy.

When my son was about 18 months, I came to the realization that I did not ever want more kids. I was happy and content with 1 child for multiple reasons. My husband felt the same way. To finalize my feelings, I started to sell off EVERYTHING! We always thought that if we ever had the urge, yearning, or desire for more children, then we would consider adopting older kids via foster care. But at this point in our lives, we still a very happy family of 3. My son is now 7 and entering 2nd grade.

I Hear all of you on that! I thought I might have wanted one more but then I think about how difficult my pregnancy was, and theres a good chance I could have twins again, then I snap back into reality.

I had two sons by the age of 24 and although I knew I wanted another child I could not afford one so then I carried on with my life for 15 years. Then the opportunity to have another child cropped up again and I had my daughter. I had such a terrible time during pregnancy and birth that there was no way in high hell I was going through that again. I am done! I am just looking forward to being a Nanny now!

I decided I wasn't keen on having any more once my son started crawling. He was a handful from second he could move, and extremely active while I was pregnant (I knew I was going to have my hands full then)

My daughter was a surprise pregnancy, I was 18 weeks and 5 days when I found out, and she is definately my last. I have one of each, no need for any more.

After my son was born (I already had a daughter). He was difficult from day 1 and there was no way I was going through all that again. If he had been my first I would never have gone back for a second one!
He is 5 now and I haven't changed my stance... no more kids for me. My sanity couldn't take it.
( I wouldn't send him back though, he is lovely when he isn't being the biggest turd on earth!!)
