Fluoride - 3 years, in their toothpaste, and 1 year in city water.
Vitamins - if solely breastfeeding, 4-6 months. Otherwise, never unless labs drawn indicate a need based on nutritional deficiency as it is very easy to overdose (even 1 pill can do it).
This is a vitamin company's page, warning that even TWO child vitamins can cause overdose. http://www.glyconutritionforlife.org/Chi...
Also, a common sense guide for child nutrition.

Just a suggestion, but Google "fluoride" before you start using it with your children so that you can make an informed decision about it. You may be surprised by what you find out. Also, there are companies that make toothpaste with anti-cavity formulas that are safe for use for small children and won't harm them if accidentally ingested. I wish you well. :-)

I was told, no need to add extra vitamins as long as they are eating a balanced diet. Also as far as flouride, if you are drinking city water it has flouride added to it, and I would NOT use toothpaste with flouride wait til they are older, as they get enough in the water and too much can be an issue.Since most swallow the toothpaste. But honestly I'd call your doctor and see what they suggest!

i started giving my two year old both when he turn two, if you look on the back of multi-vitamins for kids it even says for children two years of age, and as far as flouride goes i stated brushing my sons teeeth as soon as the first one popped threw, they make baby toothbrushes and baby safe toothpaste with flouride
