When do I stop giving the bottle to my 2 year old girl

Giving a bottle to her at night to sleep with having milk, formula, or juice in the bottle is not a good idea. This will lead to decay of the teeth. She needs to be off the bottle period. I would give her milk in a cup starting now. If she has to have a drink of milk before bed, use a cup. I would suggest that you start weaning the bottle at night. She is growing too dependent on it. Use water in it at night. She is going to fuss but you have to stick to it and eventually she is going to give it up.

Thank you for the feedback.I think my post was not clear enough. My baby uses a cup to drink juice & water during the day. However she can't go to sleep without a bottle with her formula every night.I wanted to know how I can get her to sleep through the night without having a bottle with her.

You should have been working on a cup with her at the age of one. She is too big to rely on a bottle for her drinking now. A sippy cup is a good choice for her to start learning but a lot of kids her age are beginning to use an open cup. My own kids I will admit were hard headed when it came to giving up the bottle and going to a cup but by 2 they were using cups when I finally found what kind worked for them. And do not get those cups that have a nipple like top to it. Those only encourage the bottle like use and at her age are not necessary. Those type of cup tops are for kids learning to use a cup.
