My son is 4.5 years old and goes to preschool at a Montessori school. I teach at this school and I am unsure who to trust when it comes to my sons behavior. I know his teachers pretty well but lately he's been getting into a lot of trouble and has been sent home three or four times because of this. He has supposedly been hitting other students, kicking other students, and today I was told he put his hands around another child's neck. These are things that i don't see at home but I am told they are happening at school. When I ask my son about these behaviors he tells me that he didn't do them or if he had done it he tells me that it was provoke "the other kid took my toy on the playground" or "they wouldn't listen to me" I know my son does have some behavior issues and we believe him to have oppsitional defiance disorder but these things have been happening for a while but have seemed to become more extreme. Who do I believe and when do kids really start lying about their behaviors??
