I just don't want to be late.. :-) We brush our teeth morning and night, but I am not sure when to actually go to a dentist office. She is 15 months btw.. thanks for all the advice in advance!

In the Care for Kids Program, they want the children to come in at age 1, but most dental offices wont see them until they are 3 years old. I'm not taking my daughter until she is 3 or I notice a problem. They wouldn't even see her when she had a loose tooth (traumatic fall at 18 months), but the tooth is fine now.

We took my son at 2 but he already had problems when we took him. Even though we brushed his teeth every day he just has bad teeth (genetics). So my daughter started going as soon as she had her first tooth. The dentist just looked at her teeth when she was under a year when we were there for her brothers appointment, from that appointment she's been going regularly every 6 months.

Age 3 for an introductory visit, unless you notice a problem earlier. They'll look at her teeth and see if they're spaced well and count them so she's not scared to come back.
