When giving your child a bath is it normal for parents to rinse them with the bath water?

Meh, I use the bath water to rinse. It's not like she's been rolling in the dirt and caking herself in mud, so the water is never particularly dirty.

I'm not sure what you mean... I don't wash my son's hair in the tub, I wait until he's in the shower with my husband or me and then one of us does it there because it's easier to get the suds out with the showerhead. (my son always asks to come in the shower if he notices that we've started it, so it's an easy way to clean him right now)

When my son's in the bath I don't rinse him at all. I wash him with a cloth and when he's done playing and splashing, I ask him to let the water out and dry him off and we're done.

Thank you for replying. I was wondering because my friend thinks it's normal to use the water already in the tub to rinse (body and hair) and I think it's normal to use clean water for rinsing. We thought we'd ask other parents just to see if one way is better than the other or if either way is fine.
