When is it okay to cut a bi-racial childs hair? I was told not to until 2-3yrs of age. True??

My 1yr old son's hair is so long, curly and frizzy. I was told not to cut until he turns 2 or 3. His father passed away so I don't have him to ask what to do. I dont want to do something that will change his hair texture or lose his curls .

well i know that my kids are biracial, but they are half white half mexican.... so i dunno if it is different.... but cutting hair wont change texture, time does... what would happen is if the ENDS of his hair are curly and the hair closer to the roots are not curly, that will make his hair not look curly any more... if you like his hair long, leave it long... this is your choice
