At what age do you think it is okay to pierce your daughters ears?
-after first needles?
-after first birthday?
-when they ask?
2 years old, 10 or 15 years old?
or no piercings until they move out?

Just wondering what everyone thinks and if you pierced your daughters ears-when did you do it and are you happy with your decision?

When she is responsible enough to care for them and understand what the procedure entails.

I have a three year old who wants them (but is not ready to care for them) and a five year old who is adamantly against having her ears pierced. I would not take that choice away from them. Their bodies, not mine.

I would love to get my daughter's ears pierced but at almost 8, I still don't think she is responsible enough. I know she could handle putting earings in and taking them out but I have a feeling she would take them out and lose them and the holes would close up. I am waiting for her to be a bit more responsible with her belongings/

When they ask, and demonstrate an understanding that not only will it hurt in that moment, but possibly for a while after as they heal. I would be open to discussing it with my daughter once she is at school.

When they are old enough to ask for them. I can't wait for that day!!! I have a whole day planned lol, My daughter just turned two, so I'm hoping it will happen in the next couple years *crosses fingers*

when they ask and when they're old enough to care for them. So probably at least 3 or 4. Yes they'll still need some help with it at that point but they're old enough to add that daily routine into their bedtime routine

I'll wait until my daughter asks for them, right now she's happy with clip ons and stick ons, so it'll probably be a few more years until she decides she wants real ones. However, I don't object to parents having a baby's ears pierced. It's their baby, not mine. ;)

I have a 2 yr old daughter and I will only be getting her ears pierced if and when she asks to have it done.
It's her body not mine.
