I never did change. I tried but my daughter would just throw the bottle and cry. When I would change it back to slow she would drink it. She is 14 months old now and should be off a bottle but She gets one here and there and it is still at slow flow. My older child on the other hand, never really had a bottle. He was off of a bottle by about 4 months during the day, and completely off by 10 months. He had a 3 meal a day diet by 9 months and was eating large amounts off food then so the dr took him off of fomula all together at 10 months. I guess what i am trying to say, is it dont really matter. You child may not like a higher flow like my daughter. or your child may like it. All you can do is try and there is no right or wrong time. Good Luck

im bfeeding and giving tea via bottle, my daughter used bottle for the first time when she was 6mo, with the nipple for newborns, so it would be as difficult to suck as with the breast, now, when she is 11mo, i put her the nipple for 6mo, so its easier but she has to still suck, its not gowing by itself...im afraid that if i would put a nipple made for her age, it would be easier than breast and she would prefer bottle...

You could just try the next flow up & see how he does with it. I tried switching my son's to a faster flow, but he hated it & refused to eat lol. So I ended up going back to slow flow. He's 13 months old & sill using slow flow.
i think i changed my daughters around 3-4 months to the fast nipples, because she would take almost an hour to finish her bottle (she was a lazy eater lol). my niece is still using her slow nipples and shes 16 months. so its really up to you and your baby :)

Not necessarily. If your baby is content and finishing his bottle happily, then you can stick with the slow-flow ones. But if he's showing signs of frustration, then you'll probably want to switch to a fast nipple instead.
