Night feedings are so normal at that age. I recently weaned my daughter at 15 months. It was a pretty easy thing. She slept through the night three nights in a row so I didn't feed her and that was it. Ha. A couple nights after with some cuddles and the whole thing seemed very natural. I think if it's forced too early it will just be an unenjoyable experience for everyone. I do not think that child led weaning works for everyone either. I think you need to take both partners in the breastfeeding relationship into consideration. But too early probably won't do anything to make you happier and it definitely won't make her happier. As long as everyone is enjoying the relationship, may as well continue. :)

My daughter was still having night feedings until a little over a year old. Your daughter is also at the point where she will probably hit a growth spurt in the near future, meaning she will be wanting to eat even more often, not less.

Weaning from breastfeeding? I would never wean under a year and my youngest didn't wean til 3 years old (night weaned at 2 though).

Night feeds are perfectly normal and even good at only 4 months old. When they can sleep through the night depends on a variety of factors and depends on the kid. Some are sleeping through practically from birth and some aren't sleeping through til 5 years... and both extremes CAN be perfectly normal. I would say to not even worry about weaning from night feeds til at least 9 months. That's my opinion on it. Trust me. They grow up fast enough on their own. ♥
