Hi, I'm 27 year old mom of two, and my husband and I are ttc for baby number 3. I was on depo for 2 years, and I was due for my shot on june 26 or 28th 2012 but I didnt go to the appointment since we want another baby. I haven't got my period back, but we still have been trying frequently because I didnt get my period back when I got pregnant with my son either. I felt pregnant (vomiting, nauseous, fatgue) in september, but tested negative. Last week I started feeling hungry and tired and nauseous again just like with my other two, and today I actually got sick,. It felt just like the morning sickness with my other two, but I took a test when I got home a couple hours ago and it was negative! I'm getting so frustrated because I don't know when to test because I dont know when my missed period should be since it hasn't returned at all. Does anyone know how early morning sickness shows up? and when should I retest? Because I'm almost certain that I'm pregnant this time, and I don't want to waste another test by testing too early. Any advice you ladies can give will be greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks Jazmyne for replying, that's what I was thinking too. Because there really is no way for me to know when I should have missed my period since I never got it back after the depo. Do you think a week is enough time to wait?

Best time to test is first thing in the morning. That is when your levels are at the highest and most concentrated with the first pee. So next time you do it, just make sure you do it with the first pee of the day. Good luck!

It was a n e.p.t. , and is suppose to detect as little as 25. I guess I'll have to just wait two weeks, but waiting is sooo hard!!! lol. I may order some strips off of amazon, they are only 6 bucks for 20, and will be here in two days. Oh I wish I could use that calculator! But I have no idea when I'm suppose to get my period since it never came back after my depo.

Wait two weeks then try again. Morning sickness shouldnt show up till at least 1 month. But if you havnt had a period you wouldnt know when you got pregnant. So to be safe wait a couple more weeks then youll know for sure.

No Jake was my 3rd. Both of my first two I gave up for adoption. And I do think its the different pregnancies. With Jake I couldn't come up positive because it took me almost 8 weeks for my hormones to get to where they should be on a test, but the dr confirmed it at about 6 with a blood test. Most urine test can detect any where from 25- 100. Some tests are more sensitive than others but I used the doller store ones which detect at 50 and above. Look at the box instuctions and look to see how sensitive the test is.

ok thanks, that gives me some reasurance. You couldn't get a positive result with your son? Is he your only child? The only reason I ask is because I have a 7 and a 5 year old and I got a positive result with both of them no problem. Do you think it differs with different pregnancies?

It should be. Usually your pregnancy hormones double every 36- 48 hours so even if its too early now, with the symptoms you are describing you should be about 6 weeks along (based on what I've read, that's when they say morning sickness most commonly occurs) So in a week your levels should have quadrupled. But then again some women when pregnant cant get a positive urine test (happened to me with Jake) but then the blood test came back positive. So if you would like to wait longer you could but I would venture to say that a week would be enough time, and then if still negative I'd still go to your doctor for his/ her advice.

try again in a week, and If it still negative, you don't have your period and your still experiancing symptoms go to your doctor for a blood test.
