This is my first pregnancy...around 16 weeks I started to feel flutters, that week I checked around the Internet and one morning after breakfast I loaded up a glass of orange juice with lots of ice and gulped it down....I felt the coldness go down into my belly and a distinct kick!

Then the next week at night I was laying on my side and my husband had his head against my belly trying to listen for baby and he got a really strong kick that he actually felt against his face! We were both so surprised at our little super-baby!

at 19 weeks I moved cross-country to HI and all the way there on the plane I kept checking in with my baby to see if she was still OK, and always was answered with flutters and kicks...

at 20 weeks I felt my first full roll!

at 21 weeks I got first hiccups!

I'm about 22 weeks now....I get kicks so hard I cry out sometimes...and then laugh.

He was about four months when i felt him move. I didnt start with the flutters just straight to the kicks in the bladder.

if its your first baby, it can depend on how big the baby is. just remember, there's a lot of fluid in there. as the baby gets bigger, youll feel the baby more easier. for a first, you will tend to feel flutters before real kicks but these can happen anywhere from 20ish weeks onwards. dont worry!!!. you'll soon be getting kicks and then youll want them to stop as they always happen when you want to be calm and still. lolol.

i was about 7 months before i felt anything and then she would only move slightly, no major kicks, and i wouldn't feel her for days at a time, she was so lazy. she certainly makes up for it now.

I probably started feeling my son when I was around 3 months but I didn't know it because I had never been pregnant. It kinda felt like a combination of gas and that feeling you get when you have butterflies in your stomach. Once I was sure it wasn't gas....I knew it was him.

Honestly, when I was 2 1/2 to 3 months. But, I was being stressed at that time(by my son's father.) I guess he could sense that.

I have 6 boys. Just gave birth to the last one 3 months ago. I never TRULY feel the baby move until 20 wks along. Sometims I feel little flutters that may or may not be the baby before that. But I am not positive it's actually the baby consistently until after 20 wks.

I felt my daughter the first time when I was 13 weeks, I know they say that you cant feel your first pregnancy till like 16 weeks but I used to lay at night flat, and suck in my stomach and then push on my uterus and wait.. and a tiny poke touched my hand. I did that at night alot. and I felt her alot. I dont care what anyone's told me, it was her.

I felt little ticklings from about 16weeks but I didn't know if I was imagining it or not. I got my first REAL kick lying in the bath at 22weeks, my placenta was anterior which can make movements only detectable later. My sister felt kicks from 17weeks, her placenta was posterior (on the back of the womb). HTH

Usually around 20 weeks for first time moms depending on the location of the placenta, anywhere from 11-16 for subsequent pregnancies, everyone says ot feels like flutters or butterflies or a gas bubble at first. It is such an awesome moment.

With my first it was about 18 weeks, this one was around 15 weeks. But dont worry if it takes you longer ever person and baby is different. Also if your placenta is attached to the front of your uterus it can make it harder for you to feel baby kick because not only does it have to kick through you and all the fluid but also the placenta too.

Quoting Kelly:

The only thing I miss from being pregnant. Feels like flutters at first. Felt my first baby at 16 weeks and my second around 18 weeks. Loved that little feeling at first. Not so great when they're 9 months and full term! Enjoy the time, there is no other feeling like it!

I cannot agree with this post more!

At 18 weeks. A flutter it was. There was only about 1 a day for a little while & then it just gets more & more. I loved all the movements, I started to know my bub's little personality from the different movements & reactions to things. It was awesome, yeh do miss it a lot. Would love to do all that again.
