Most four month olds cannot sit up without support, even with support most are wobbly. Don't worry! At four months you can expect her to have better control of her head and neck, babbling, cooing and laughing. She might start reaching for toys this month. It is a fun age because they learn to recognize you more readily and give great smiles and laughs.

It's perfectly normal to not sit up at 4 months. Some babies are sitting up by 5 months... some babies are 8 months. If you have any concerns about your child's development speak to her doctor. Otherwise just enjoy your baby and watch as she grows and learns new things.

Its gonna be a few more months until she is able to sit on her own somewhat and a few more before she can handle it alone. Do not be in a hurry to have your child grow up. Google "Milestones for my baby's age" and it should find you some places to go see what is expected on average for a baby of any age from birth on up. But do not expect that your child should be doing that exact thing at the age it says they will do them. It is an average only and some babies will be a little slower to do them and others a little faster but that does not mean that they are behind at all. Just enjoy your baby!
