Where can I buy clothes to fit my 11 year old with the waist of a 6 year old but the legs of a 12 year old?

I'm fed up with clothes that pull in a the waist as they never fit properly anywhere else. Do you know of any shops that cater for very slim children, I think with all the publisity on overweight children the naturally slim have been forgotten and both my daughter and I are getting fed up!!!!

Look at OldNavy and Gap or The Children's Place for Slim. I have a tall and slim 8 yr old. The pants with elastic take ins help. We just ended up buying a few belts!

Learn to sew or find a seamstress to take the waist in ...Luckily summer is coming so shorts and skirts will solve the pant leg issue.

Aeropostale is really good. My friend is naturally slim but doesn't like the kiddy clothing and she always shops there. Their clothes are naturally small (i am a size 5-7 and can't even fit into the size 10 at Aeropostale) I would reccomend looking at the long and slim t-shirts and the size 000 pants. I also would reccomend Rue 21, they have a line of jeans for slimmer girls. For shorts, try looking for adjustable wasitbands or belts. Also, stock up on leggings, they are slim basically everywhere. Good luck :)

My daughter goes through the same thing, I have found "Roxy" jeans that have the proper waist size and longer legs then most other jeans. She does not like the jeans with adjustable waists which i don't blame her cause they look bunchie at the waist. Good luck.......

My daughter had the same problem when she was younger. I had to buy the pants to fit the length and have them taylored to fit in the waist. It doesn't cost very much. And it is well worth it.

i know exactly what u mean my daughter is 11 and tall and skinny, she can even fit in to age 5 skirts, lol,i found that the best places are not the big expensive stores,i get my daughters from supermarkets they all seem to have the adjustable waists and the styles are really nice too so she dont mind wearing them.

I hear you on that I have a 12 yrs old son and he is a been pole. We buy slims and get him a belt and make him wear the belt. I use to make him wear saspenders when he was little because he dosen't have a but to hold his pants up. I just look for slim it is my daughter that is 9 yrs old and going through the pouchy stage and I can't find anything that fits her she wears a size 10 plus and I can't fine that they think all kids are small here. Good luck and God Bless.

We have the same issue.  We have had some luck at Target finding both slimmer and longer pants and jeans.  Someone recently told me that Old Navy carries slims that work for her children.  Sometimes you can find a taylor who will adjust pants for about $10, or do it yourself.  We also make some of our own clothes.  Girls clothes have been easier for us because at least when it isn't really cold, the cropped look is okay.  It has been harder with my son who used to wear the plainer girls jeans that ran much slimmer--now everything is so fancy that he is aware that they are "girls"!

JC Penny AND SEARS still sell slim fit clothes I would try there and they also sell slim long in jeans. but any store that sells the brand ZANDINI they are specialy made for skinny girls that was the only brand my now 17 yr old could wear for along time she is 17 and wears a 00 or a size 10-12 in girls try that too a double zero is the small waist about a size 10-12 but long enough for older children and i found that old navy clothes are not made for small waisted kids my daughter can not wear them at all they are to big in the waist or to short.
