Because of some answers on other posts out there, there seem to be a few angry mothers out there. So I was wondering if you would really not be doing anything for these less then stellar fathers out there. Would you really go on strike or skip it all together? Just wondering. I am really curious about this one. Thanks in advance for your input.

My dad lives too far away and my son's father is not in the picture, so we won't be celebrating father's day with them. I do have some good friends and their families that we will be hanging out with and they are fathers, so it will still be a great day.

I got nothing for Mother's day, it was more just like any regular day actually. He slept in while I got up extremely early with our daughter, I did the dishes, cleaned the house and then we went to his parents house for dinner. I already have his father's day planned, I got him a card and got our daughter to sign it even though it was just scribbles, and we are going out with the family for dinner to a restaurant. It was initially just supposed to be us but he decided he wanted his dad, mom, brother and sister in law with their 2 kids to come too. We are paying for them all.... I was so tempted to just skip it this year, but its a special day and maybe after this he'll realize that it's special to me, and that next mother's day he does something.

My husband got me nothing for mothers day...he says when my kids are old enough to shop themselves then I will get something. However, when I sulked the whole day he went out in the evening with my son and bought me a box of chocolates. My son had made me a card at school which was fantastic :)
I will still get him something for fathers day though. My son has already made him a card and we are going out tomorrow to get a pressie. We won't do anything particular on the day but we will probably make daddy a special dinner :)
