Why do not people take care of Custody, Visitation, and Child support?

Why do a lot of women who have kids with men that decide to not be with those fathers anymore not take care of the Child Support, Visitation, and Custody right after a child is born? I fail to understand the reasoning behind such things!

The presumption that because a woman carries a baby in her body and delivers said baby deems her the "better" or "rightful" parent of the baby is maddening. Men have parented children on their own for ages! Why does a woman feel that she is entitled to deny a father access or control access to a child he created with her?
How about we all wise up and choose appropriate partners to parent our children with in the first place?

And also, Sarah E., there are those that post that dad is not good enough in care of the child because he has not done it yet or mature enough etc. Just more excuses than anything to deny him access instead getting the legal things done. Also there are those that post here that they made an agreement some verbal/written and even notarized which do not stand up in court and they expect the other parent to abide it and then when they do not....uh oh. To me these women have to be smart but they are making stupid choices.

Oh Evelyn, me too. I am not even divorced but i but the need for a legal ruling on support, custody and visitation. Every single day there are posts her that ask; can he take them out of town w/o my permission, can he keep them from me, can I keep them from him etc. Makes me crazy!
