Hi everyone,I have a 2 year old daughter, and I have never had issues with her sleeping in her own room, but lately I will put her in her bed and minutes later she will be sleeping on the floor on her carpet,no matter how many times I put her back into bed,she will get out and sleep there .She has a great cofortable bed but oviously feels more secure and confy on the floor. My question is why is she dooing that?Is this a phase? And if that is her confort zone should I just let her sleep there?

Confucius say, one cannot fall out of bed if one is already on floor. ;)

My girls are 9.5 and like sleeping on the floor in the living room more than in their own beds.... As long as everyone is sleeping and safe.... I say let it be. :)

My daughter went through this. I just gave her a sleeping bag and let her do it. As long as she was sleeping, I didn't care. She grew out of it.

is it hot in your house and is it cooler on the floor? Just an idea, my son flips himself around to sleep under the fan at night when he gets too hot and i've done that before when i've got too hot!

Thanks I feel better to know that I am not the only one with this issue.I think she will grow out of it.I often leave the dorr open so that she can fell more secure and she is more than welcome into my bed,but she just sticks to her floor.

Weird... I would suggest moving her bed in the room. Maybe put a dresser where her bed is. There could be negative energy in that spot. Sorry, I'm very much a believer in all the 'porthole' stuff. We had a friend whose daughter wouldn't sleep in her bed and it was because of that. There was actually a cold spot you can feel if you stuck your hand there. Try moving slowly around her bed with your arm outstreatched. Or just try moving her bed. It could be just simply that she doesn't like that area, facing that way. Anyway, our friends baby cried and cried and then when they moved the bed, it went away instantly. My mom had dreams and kept waking up to seeing a woman, so she switched sides of the bed with my dad who didnt believe her and he started to have them! It happens.....
