Straw?? Baby hair should be soft and in no way should ever feel like straw.

I would have to say if it feels like straw you might want to use an intensive conditioner. Most baby hair should feel fine, soft, and silky. As babies get older and their hair fills in it will tend to look thicker, feel more course, and either stay the same color or darken. If his hair felt like straw from the time he was born and hasn't changed you might want to consult a dr. Does it seem like there are other issues as well? Does he seem like he doesn't always have the energy other kids do? loses or gains weight easily? Goes to the bathroom a lot or not enough compared to what he drinks? always seems thirsty?

Straw-like hair is usually associated with a hormone or thyroid problem. If it doesn't seem to be helped with regular conditioning and proper hair care I would talk to your pediatrician about possible causes and if this could be a symptom of something bigger.

Hmm, sorry, I have no idea. My son is 16 months and has just gotten to the point where I can kinda, sorta see that he actually does have hair.

Do you mean sort of whispy and invisible hair? Maybe he's just got fine, blond hair. At least he's not a girl that can't keep cute little clips in! :)

I'm sorry, but what do you mean by 'baby hair'? Is it that he has barely any hair on his head or little hairs all over his body?
