Why is it ok in Australia for children in care to be left in limbo for year and years with no stability until the parents decide they are ready to have their kids back only to have them removed again and the process starts all over again. The laws seem to be more parent focused rather that child focused.

they can go into a permant foster for more serious cases as far as i'm aware. But it's still shocking i guess. I've thought about fostering. But I already have a 1 and 2 year old. And I don't think i'd have as much time as i'd like to give each child the attention they need. And I know I wouldn't be able to let go when it came to giving the child back. I'd get too attatched and worry too much. Still a thought though. Unfortunately child safety just isn't taken seriously enough. And adults needs are still put above childrens it's horrible.
