my two yr old daughter started geting sick after i had to move in with my mom and step-daa. the house contains my mom, step-dad, step-brother (19yrs old), and my sister (16yrs old). my sister stays sick with sinces all the time. now my daughter is going to day care monday thru friday for bout 4 to 5 hours a day. and she keeps geting sick. she has had strep, sinces, allergys, colds, and tlast week thy thought she had th flu. bt the test came back normal. the dr had no idea what she had so thy put her of antibodics an staroid to knock it out an he cough never went away now she sick again. got a call from the day care an hour ago shes running fever an coughing up muckus. What could be wrong and how do i keep her from staying sick all the time and still send her to daycare??

kids in daycare get sick a lot no matter how well the staff clean the toys. germs spread like wildfire. if this is your daughters first year in child care then she is bound to be sicker than other kids. i work in a child care and can tell you from first hand experience that it sucks to have kids sick but unfortunately there is not too much that can be done. the smoking they are doing is going to contribute to her sickness, and finding a new place is the right thing to do but be aware that every place carries germs and there is not a whole lot you can do about her getting a little sick.

theres no mold, she eats some vegitaibles well she eats alot of corn its her favorite. she eats friut pritty reguraly. this other kids at day care dont seem to be sick but i havent asked. and my daughter and i have been goin threw sme life chages. i left her daddy in oct. and we havent heard from him since nov. she hasnt even seen her 2 sisters since then. i started dating a guy before christmas. and now we are trying to get a place together. he works on a land rig 14/14 so we have been going back and forth from his house to my moms. and i know thats not good for her bt she loves to be around him and she gets to get out an play in th mud lke a kid, hes become more like a father figure than a friend to her. could that cause her to be sick? shes not throwing up or running fever shes jst got a horrible cough an sneezing and he snot is clear. i think it maybe this louisiana weather. its hot then its old and its eather really wet or really dry. Her older sister (her daddys first child) has alot of health problems exima, asma, sineses, allergys (shes allergic to everything). my daughter doesnt show the signs of having any of these except sinces and shes allergic to milk.

You need to check your house for mold immediately!!! If there is no mold I would look at her diet, how many fresh fruits and vegetables does your daughter eat? Are the other kids at daycare sick a lot? Is her daycare washing their toys well enough?

Antibiotics and steroids are bad for kids, and adults. It's important you get your daughter healthy ASAP!!!!

Is she sleeping enough? Under irregular stess?
