Actually I experienced this with my daughter when she was little and now with my granddaughter who is almost 4. My daughter outgrew it, its basically a test to see if you will still love them even when they say I dont like you or I dont want to be your friend anymore. Maybe I am wrong on this. This has just been my experience with it. I tell my granddaughter thats ok I still love you, you dont have to like me right now. Its good that you talk with her about feelings. Chances are she has been hearing it so much from the other kids she picked it up from them. Possibly they have even done it to her. Toddler rules still apply to 3 y/o too. You know the if I can see it touch it hear smell it, if you have it or want it then its mine. If I cant have it then you are mean. I dont know if this helps or not but do know with your constant reinforcement of feelings she will get it and outgrow it.
