Why is my 8month throwing tantrums?

My daughter is 8months
when ever she sits in her high chair she slams her head back and screams, she will scream with any baby food but as soon as i give her a mummum(rice cracker) she is fine. I understand she might be teething but would this effect her from wanting her usual meals??? its not every meal usually lunch!
ANY insight?

I'm with the previous poster. Your daughter has learnt that if she throws a paddy she will get her cracker. With our daughter if she turns her nose up at something that she previously has eaten that is all she gets given. All my 3 have done this from an early age! They soon realize that it doesn't get them what they want. xx

This may have started with teething, but she probably likes the rice snack more. Since she knows that if she has a fit you will give in, she knows how to get her way ( unfortunately it starts early). Is her high chair hard that you are worrying that she will hurt herself? If so, try changing your environment, like sitting somewhere other than the highchair, or putting a towel there as padding. At this point just let her freak out and if she still doesn't eat her normal meal, she gets nothing. It may take a day or two but she'll stop throwing tantrums when she doesnt get what she wants out of it.
