Hi, I'm new to this and will take any advice! My wee boy is 6 months old in 3 days and used to wake up once or twice in the night. The last 2 weeks he has been getting up 6-9 times a night. The Health Visitor told me to give him more solids which I have but this doesn't seem to be working. He has 2 naps in the day and is in his usual routine. Dinner at 5pm, bath at 6.30pm, bottle then bed. He starts waking up from 10pm, tried White Nois everything. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you x

Thank you. I meant to mention in my post that he has 2 teeth just come through. This has been 2 weeks now. I feel so bad for him, he will only settle if he ha a few sips of milk. Someone mentioned I should give him cool boiled water through the night instead of milk as he will just expect milk all the time and he is definitely not hungry. He gets out for loads of fresh air through the day too. I tend not to go out after dinner as living in Scotland it is dark early now :( he hates a dummy too which I guess is good in the long run but could be a saver just now!

try taking him for a long walk in the stroller after his dinner then give him a bath when you get back along with the bottle and see if tht works.

The whole solids will get them to sleep longer is a myth. When my daughter did this it got so bad we took her to the pediatrician who did a full exam, he couldn't find anything wrong with her and told us to wait it out and see if it got better. If he didn't he told us to come back in an week, about 2 days later her first tooth popped through, my husband and I felt so bad because we didn't even think it could be teething and the doctor checked her mouth and didn't see anything. Everytime she had a tooth come in we went through it, but ever time she went back to he regular sleeping habits.
